A RAVE Review is a voluntary, written recognition of any Helendale School District employee who has demonstrated excellence in their role — going beyond what is normally expected. It is not a formal evaluation. It is a colleague saying: I see you, and what you do matters.
Anyone — staff, parents, community members — can submit a RAVE Review at any time for any HSD employee. There is no limit on how many you can submit. The more we recognize each other, the stronger our culture becomes.
Think of an HSD employee who recently went above and beyond — a teacher who stayed late, a staff member who solved a problem, a colleague who lifted the whole team.
Describe what they did and why it mattered. Be specific. Mention the core value they demonstrated. A meaningful, personal message makes the biggest impact.
Our team reviews every RAVE to ensure it meets program guidelines. Approved RAVEs generate an official certificate presented to the recipient.

Each month, one outstanding recognizer is selected by district leadership and celebrated publicly across the program. Your name is displayed on every employee's dashboard.
The top recognizers each month are listed publicly with their badge level. It is a friendly competition — but more than that, it is a visible record of the people who invest in our culture.
Approved RAVE Reviews can be shared to the district Facebook Page, giving the recognized employee a moment of community-wide celebration beyond the walls of their campus.
Anyone can submit a RAVE Review — HSD employees, parents, community members, or students. You do not need a school account to submit. Staff members who sign in with their HSD Google account get a few extra benefits, like having their name pre-filled and earning milestone badges.
Any Helendale School District employee — teachers, administrators, custodians, bus drivers, office staff, aides, coaches, and more. If they work for HSD and they made a difference, they deserve a RAVE.
Yes. Once approved, the recipient receives a formal certificate that includes the recognition message, the core value recognized, and the date. It is signed by district leadership and is something they can keep permanently.
Your RAVE goes to our review team who checks it against program guidelines. Most reviews are processed within a few business days. You will see the status on your My Submissions page if you submitted as a staff member.
Yes. If you are not signed in with a Google account you can submit without providing your information. Anonymous submissions go through the same review process. However, signing in allows you to earn badges and track your submissions.
No. Milestone badges, certificates, and all program features are completely free for all HSD employees. Your certificate is generated automatically and emailed to you the moment you earn it.
Absolutely. There is no limit on how many times an employee can be recognized, or by how many different people. Consistent excellence deserves consistent acknowledgement.
District leadership reviews the monthly submission data and selects one employee who has shown exceptional commitment to recognizing their colleagues. It is not always the person with the most submissions — the quality and thoughtfulness of the recognitions matter too.
In rare cases, yes — if a submission does not meet program guidelines (for example, if it is unclear, inappropriate, or not about an HSD employee). The review team may reach out for clarification. The goal is always to find a way to honor the recognition, not to deny it.
Badges are awarded based on approved RAVEs, not just submitted ones. Once your submission is reviewed and approved you will automatically receive any milestone badge you have earned, along with an email notification.
