About the Program
What does RAVE stand for?
RAVE stands for Recognize A Valued Employee. It is a program designed to celebrate the HSD employees who go above and beyond every day — the people who make a real difference in the lives of students, families, and the broader community.
Who runs this program?
Helendale School District district leadership runs the RAVE Review program. Every submission is reviewed by an authorized approver before a certificate is issued.
Is it free to submit a RAVE Review?
Yes, completely free. There is no cost for anyone to submit a RAVE Review, and there is no cost for the employee who receives one.
Submitting a Recognition
Do I need an account to submit?
No account is needed for parents, students, and community members. Visit
submit.php, fill out the form, and you are done. HSD employees can sign in with their Google school account for additional benefits, but an account is never required to submit.
Is my name required when submitting?
Yes. Your first and last name are required for all RAVE submissions. This helps ensure the recognition is genuine and allows the review team to follow up if needed. Your contact information (email, phone) is optional. Your name will appear on the certificate the employee receives.
Who can I recognize?
Any Helendale School District employee, including:
- Teachers and instructional aides
- Principals, vice principals, and administrators
- Office and clerical staff
- Custodial and maintenance staff
- Bus drivers and transportation staff
- Cafeteria and nutrition staff
- Coaches and activity supervisors
- Any other district employee who made a difference
What should I write?
The best RAVE Reviews are specific and personal. Describe what the employee did and why it mattered. Instead of "She is a great teacher," try something like: "Ms. Johnson noticed my son was struggling and started sending home extra activities. His confidence has completely changed." You will also choose one core value that best describes what they demonstrated.
Can I recognize the same person more than once?
Absolutely. There is no limit. If someone continues to demonstrate excellence, keep recognizing them.
Is there a deadline?
No deadline. The RAVE Review program is open year-round. It is never too late to tell someone their work mattered.
After You Submit
What happens after I submit?
Your submission goes to a review team at Helendale School District who checks it against program guidelines. This usually takes a few business days. Once approved, an official certificate is generated for the recipient and they are notified.
Will the employee see exactly what I wrote?
Yes. Your full recognition message is included on the official certificate the employee receives, printed alongside the core value and the date, and signed by district leadership. It is your words, preserved in a document they can keep and frame.
Can a submission be rejected?
In rare cases, yes — if it is unclear, does not describe an HSD employee, or falls outside program guidelines. The goal is always to honor the recognition, not to turn it away.
Privacy
What do you do with my information?
Your name and message are used only to process and deliver the recognition. They are not sold, shared with third parties, or used for any other purpose.
Will my name appear on the certificate?
Yes. Because your name is required when submitting, it will appear on the certificate as the person who submitted the RAVE. The recognized employee will know exactly who took the time to celebrate them.
